A young mother has given her second daughter up for adoption after her first daughter was placed into care. This mother wanted to a better life for her daughters. She did not want her daughters ending up living a life as she had to.
The young mother began her life in foster care at the young age of five years old. Her life was not an easy life to say the least. She lived in multiple foster homes, host families and care centers. She did find one foster family that showed her love and helped her to understand that sometimes the best place for a child is not with their biological parents. Adoption can be a benefit to all parties when it is what is best for the child.
She lost her first daughter to the system because she was so unprepared to parent. When she found herself married and pregnant again unprepared to parent an infant they chose to give their daughter a better life through adoption.
Not all women feel that they are able to parent their children at that precise moment in their lives. They love their children and want to offer them a better life. This was not an easy choice or decision for this mother but she chose what was best for her children. Some birth mothers do realize that they are incapable at that time to parent their children for any number of reasons. They make the hardest decision and sacrifice for the children they love.
I do understand that there are birth mothers that are quite capable to parent the children they place up for adoption. Also there are birth mothers that are not, and adoption could be the best option for the children. The loss of their children will always be with them but they felt they were making the best choice of their children.
